My front yard is covered with a thick layer of pink petals from our tulip magnolia. This sign of an early spring is proclaims that the yard sale season has opened. But Cindy first insists I eradicate the petal deluge with a heavy-duty, backpack style leaf blower she has borrowed from a neighbor. After my noise making petal removal I head out for what appears to be the opening weekend of the yard sale season.
